Legality of Sticks
Wednesday, 14th November 2007
Although deBeer states on its website that the Essence head and the TOS bent shaft are legal for the IFWLA game, they have not been approved by the RIH Lab. The head with the shaft attached does not meet IFWLA Crosse specifications nor does the IFWLA rule currently allow bent shafts. The deBeer Essence is NOT LEGAL for IFWLA play! there are problems with both the head and shaft; the first being that the shaft is currently bent and not legal according to IFWLA rules. Only the old Apex and Impulse are currently legal for IFWLA play. The STX head with the bent shaft is not legal either. WLA 2008 U17 & U21 Championships

Youth Development Team planned for 2008
Tuesday, 14th August 2007
In an extension of the successful Talent Identification Program (TIP) introduced several years ago, which culminates in those players now preparing for selection to the 2008 U19 Australian team, we are proposing a similar exercise where our young players have a chance to register and be considered for selection in this team to compete in Canada. The age group being considered is players born after 31st August 1992, who will be eligible to play for Australia in the next U19 World Championships in 2012. It must be clearly understood that if this proposal goes ahead, there is no guarantee that members of this team will be automatic selections for the 2012 team. The 2012 team will be selected as per the normal processes in place. Featured Sponsor - Schulz Hobbs
